NY Giants’ Jabrill Peppers, Darnay Holmes recruiting Adoree’ Jackson
The NY Giants secondary is looking to add a familiar face to its unit.
It’s no longer a secret the NY Giants want Adoree’ Jackson. That cat got out of the bag when two of the Giants’ players in the secondary started openly recruiting Jackson to come to New York.
Similarly to Daniel Jones recruiting wide receiver Kenny Golladay to the NY Giants, the secondary is trying to convince the best defensive back available to join them in East Rutherford.
Both Jabrill Peppers and Darnay Holmes have joined the Giants‘ recruiting process and pitching Adoree’ on teaming up with them in the NY defense. Darnay posted a picture of himself at a camp back in high school where Adoree’ coached him up and gave some tips and advice at cornerback.
Peppers started the trend on Saturday night after the Giants landed Kenny Golladay. Peppers wants to have Adoree’ with him in the secondary alongside Jackson’s former teammate in Logan Ryan. Adoree’ lauded Ryan as a mentor and leader during their time together in Tennessee.
After taking Golladay out to dinner on Friday, Peppers went right back to work to help get another guy to join the New York Giants. His recruiting efforts have been huge and it’s just another reason Peppers should see an extension before 2022.
ESPN’s Jordan Schultz reported Sunday that the NY Giants put a “high priority” on Adoree’ Jackson and bringing him to the Big Apple. The sense is the feeling is mutual from both sides and Adoree’s agent gave this “insight” on social media himself.
Adoree’s agent provided some excitement for NY Giants and it seems more and more likely that he ends up in New York. He is visiting with the team Sunday and into Monday and things are going to likely move quickly. It’s an exciting free-agent period in East Rutherford and it seems like more newcomers are on the way. Stay tuned.
