The NY Giants have upgraded several positions of need throughout free agency, but the roster is still far from a finished product ahead of the NFL Draft 2021.

While signing wide receivers Kenny Golladay and John Ross have the chance to be meaningful additions to Daniel Jones’ supporting cast, the league’s 31st-ranked scoring offense could benefit from another playmaker, potentially as high as the No. 11 overall pick in next month’s NFL Draft 2021.

The same thing can be said for the impact of retaining defensive lineman Leonard Williams and adding cornerback Adoree’ Jackson to a burgeoning defense. But, the NY Giants still desperately could use a dominant edge presence and must continue to upgrade at the linebacker position.

With various holes to fill, here’s a look at three potential players the NY Giants could target with the No. 11 overall pick in next month’s draft, who would help round out the upgrades made via free agency:

3) Edge rusher Kwity Paye, Michigan

The NY Giants committed $63 million over the next three seasons Leonard Williams, including $45 million guaranteed, but have yet in free agency addressed the glaring void at edge rusher.

Michigan’s Kwity Paye has the potential to step in and start immediately in Patrick Graham’s defense, after producing 11.5 sacks over four seasons in Ann Arbor, along with 99 total tackles, one forced fumble, and one pass breakup.

Paye, 6-foot-4 and 272 pounds, is listed as Sports Info Solutions’ No. 3 ranked edge-rusher in this year’s class, credited with a 1.6% sack-percentage in 2020 and generated pressure on 29% of his snaps.

If the NY Giants go with a defensive player, and an edge presence specifically, Paye is a name to watch.
