NY Giants Tight Ends:

2020:

Starter: Evan Engram

Backups: Kaden Smith and Levine Toilolo

2021:

Starter: Kyle Rudolph

Backups: Evan Engram, Kaden Smith, and Levine Toilolo

Analysis:

The Giants brought in Kyle Rudolph this year for his experience, his dual-threat ability to catch and block, and become another security blanket for Daniel Jones. Rudolph’s foot surgery clouded the situation but he should be ready for Week 1.

Evan Engram faces a make-or-break season in year four of his NFL career. Behind him, Kaden Smith should come back as the third tight end. The Giants curiously gave Toilolo a pay cut, they didn’t release him, and then signed Rudolph and still kept Toilolo around as the #4 tight end.

Puzzling.
