The NFL Tuesday officially announced Tuesday that for the first time the league will play a 17-game schedule in 2021, officially finalizing the list of opponents for the NY Giants and all 32 teams this upcoming season.

This season, the NY Giants will play nine road games, with a game in Miami against the Dolphins added to the slate.

In coming years, the league will rotate the 17th opponent based on division standings.

Here is who the NY Giants will play in upcoming years:

2021: At Miami Dolphins

2022: vs. AFC North

2023: at AFC West

2024: vs. NFC South

It will be interesting to see, should the NFL eventually move to an 18-game season during the next round of CBA negotiations — or even before, if this scheduling formula holds.
