2020 Record: 7-9

2021 Venues: MetLife Stadium, FedExField

The NY Giants and Washington Football Team may battle for NFC East supremacy in 2021.

Washington is the one division rival that the Giants have had little problems with over the last few years. The Giants have swept Washington in consecutive seasons in 2019 and 2020 along with winning the second matchup of 2018. That 5-game winning streak should be a sign of optimism for a Giants team that has struggled mightily to compete with the rest of the division.

Washington’s front seven boasts one of the best groups in football but it lacks playmakers in the secondary and on offense. The team added Curtis Samuel to the mix where he’ll lineup with his former OSU Buckeye teammate in Terry McLaurin.

Alex Smith’s bravery and courageous season of 2020 won’t ever be forgotten, but the team moved on and signed Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fitz has never been to the playoffs in his 16 seasons. The Giants can only hope it will stay that way through 17 seasons.

Until Washington proves otherwise, NY has always shown up and given Washington fits year after year. That trend must continue in 2021.
