The defense will be even better

Patrick Graham‘s defense was the shocking bright-spot of the team’s 2020 season. While many expected another season of putrid defense in the style of James Bettcher’s unit, Graham turned a them into a ferocious squad.

Leonard Williams is the best example of Graham’s wizardry – the defensive coordinator unlocking his untapped potential. Another year in the same system could be just what he needs to cement his place as one of the league’s top defenders.

While the team lost one of their leaders in defensive tackle, Dalvin Tomlinson, they’ve come up with a great plan to replace him. New signings Ifeadi Odenigbo and Danny Shelton should combine with Dexter Lawrence, B.J. Hill and Austin Johnson to replace their former second round pick.

The biggest get for the defense was star defensive back, Adoree’ Jackson. His addition gives the Giants arguably the best secondary in the league on paper – teams won’t know who to target in the passing game.

Graham has already proven to be a master at bringing the best out of his defenders – next year should be no different. The team’s 2021 signings will help him take his defense to an elite level.
