The NY Giants will need to rely heavily on their run game this season. It all starts and ends with their star runner, Saquon Barkley.

Saquon Barkley missed essentially the entire 2020 season after tearing his ACL in the first half of the NY Giants Week 2 contest in Chicago vs the Bears.

Barkley ended his season with a lowly 19 carries for a paltry 34 yards. It was a nightmare for the entire Giants organization, as they lost their top talent, marquee player, and their face of the franchise all on one crummy play.

Barkley has had to spend the better part of this offseason rehabbing his knee and getting back to where he was physically and mentally before the injury.

Saquon has been in Arizona for the past few weeks, spending time at the renowned EXOS Training Facility. This overlaps with Daniel Jones flying in his offense to get in work in the blazing heat of the Arizona desert.

Saquon has shown several videos, pictures, teases, and clips of his rehab and his return back to the football field. Today, he showcased some impressive workouts on his Instagram Live showing his ability to elevate, explode, and jump off his bad knee.

As shown here, this is a slow still shot of Saquon in the air after performing an impressive rep of going from a squatted backward leg position, into an explosive thrust into the air with all the power and explosion coming from his bad knee.

It’s another encouraging sign for the Pro Bowl back as he looks to remind the NFL world what the 2018 NFL Rookie of the Year is still capable of.
