Linebackers (7):

Blake Martinez, Lorenzo Carter, Cam Brown, Carter Coughlin, Tae Crowder, Reggie Ragland, Oshane Ximines

Outside looking in: TJ Brunson, Devante Downs, Cale Garrett, Trent Harris

Martinez emerged as one of the NY Giants’ most dominant defenders and most respected leaders in his first season after signing as a free agent last spring, but this is a young group that could be further buttressed during the NFL Draft.

Ragland brings a veteran presence and and an infusion of talent to a linebacking corps that was besieged by injuries and inconsistent play in 2020.

After choosing four players after Round 6 last spring, it wouldn’t be a surprise if this is a position that Gettleman and the Giants target in the first-three rounds later this month.

It would seem Martinez, Carter, and Ximines are entrenched as starters, but adding a playmaker alongside Martinez at inside linebacker must be a priority.
