The New York Knicks were in action the other night and Devonta Smith was in attendance in a New York Yankee hat. Maybe next week he will be in a NY Giant jersey.

It’s New York City, so even if it was just Devonta Smith taking in a Knicks game people are still going to get excited, especially when the NY Giants pick No. 11 in the NFL Draft next week.

You can insert some eye emojis as soon as Smith appeared on the Jumbotron.

Maybe, Smith is here meeting with the NY Giants, or maybe he is simply watching a basketball game. People will dream about Daniel Jones hitting Smith on a team touchdown to put the NY Giants up big over a division rival. You can’t help but be enamored by the play making ability of Devonta Smith.

The NY Giants’ options with their first-round pick are abundant.

New York has some needs, and despite bulking up the wide receiver room this offseason Smith is still in play. S

mith offers the NY Giants elite speed, elite route running ability and separation like no other. The NY Giants were really bad at separating last year and their big free agent wide receiver Kenny Golladay isn’t a huge separation guy either.

The NY Giants will be interested in various players.

Offensive line, wide receiver, linebacker and edge rusher will all be a possibility. They don’t have one specific need. It’s a fairly talented roster. The weakest unit is probably the offensive line. If the top 2 offensive lineman, plus five quarterbacks and Kyle Pitts go off the board it could lead Smith or his teammate Jaylen Waddle straight to the NY Giants.

Smith is an interesting case because he’s only 166 lbs but his numbers speak for himself and we have heard GM Dave Gettleman was a fan of Smith. The Heisman Trophy winner had 117 catches, 1856 yards and 23 touchdowns last season. When it’s the NY Giants turn it’s possible Smith will be adding a NY Giants jersey to go with his Knicks tickets and Yankee hat.
