Jayson Oweh: EDGE Rusher, Penn State

Jayson Oweh is another logical trade back target for the Giants if they plan on going EDGE in Round 1. Oweh is a New Jersey product born and raised, will he start his pro career back home?

The Giants will be well-versed on Oweh thanks to Sean “Chaos” Spencer and Pat Flaherty working on Penn State’s staff in 2020. Oweh was a 2020 1st Team All-Big 10 player despite getting zero sacks on the year. He had 7.0 sacks in 2018 and 2019.

Oweh is a freakish athlete who lit up his Pro Day. There are few if any 6’5, 250-pound EDGE rushers that run a blazing 4.39 40 time and have a 40-inch vertical. If the Giants can harness Oweh’s athleticism, they could get a twitchy rusher off the edge.
