Round 3, pick No. 76: Ben Cleveland, OG, Georgia

Interior offensive line play remains a going concern for the NY Giants.

Will Hernandez was ultimately supplanted in the starting lineup by Shane Lemieux, but the rookie disappointed, producing an overall grade from Pro Football Focus of just 32.2, while allowing five sacks and 25 total pressures in 504 total snaps.

While the NY Giants signed veteran Zach Fulton, his contract should not preclude Gettleman from taking a guard relatively early in this year’s draft.

Ben Cleveland checks in at a mammoth 6-foot-7 and 343 pounds, who is a road-grader in the running game and has plenty of strength to be an anchor in pass protection. As a rookie, Cleveland could step in as the NY Giants’ swing-guard while ultimately competing for one of the starting guard positions in the future.
