NFL Draft 2021: Top Day 2 targets for NY Giants
Aaron Banks, IOL, Notre Dame
Aaron Banks is one of the most underrated offensive lineman in this draft and would be a steal for the NY Giants in the third round.
He started all 13 games for Notre Dame in 2019 and was a 12-game starter for the Irish in 2020. He was named a first-team Associated Press All-American and earned first-team All-ACC honors in 2020.
Banks participated in this year’s Senior Bowl and was extremely impressive in both drills and live reps. He is extremely physical at the point of attack which will make him a huge asset in the run game. Banks’ large frame and quick feet give him a great base in pass protection as well.
His combination of size and athleticism standing at 6-5 and weighing 325 pounds makes him an ideal fit for the interior offensive line. He mainly played left guard at Notre Dame but would be a perfect plug and play for the Giants at right guard.
