The NY Giants have added another Georgia linebacker to the defense, Azeez Ojulari.

The NY Giants have been busy making moves early and often in this 2021 NFL Draft.

After surprising many with a 1st round trade back, Dave Gettleman did it again in Round 2. This time around, it was moving back eight spots with the Miami Dolphins from #42 overall to #50 while gaining an extra 3rd round pick in 2022.

The Giants already could’ve found themselves a steal in Azeez Ojulari at #42 overall. Getting him at #50 for a free third next year was one of the best and smartest decisions of Dave Gettleman’s GM reign in New York.

Here are three things to know about Azeez Ojulari, the NY Giants’ newest defender.

Azeez Ojulari was one of the most dominant defenders in the SEC in 2020

Ojulari took his game to new levels in his last season with the Georgia Bulldogs. Azeez racked up 31 tackles with 12.5 tackles for a loss to go with 9.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and one recovery.

Ojulari’s gaudy numbers were good enough to lead the SEC in tackles for a loss and sacks in 2020. It’s an impressive feat by any means to lead the nation’s toughest college football conference. Ojulari remained healthy and saved his best performances for last.
