David Gettleman and the NY Giants’ front offense has been very productive in the 2021 NFL Draft so far.

By taking Kadarius Toney with the 20th pick in the first round and Azeez Ojulari in the second, the Giants have fulfilled two positions of need by shoring up their wide receiver core and adding a much-needed pass rusher.

The addition of Aaron Robinson with the 71st pick in the third round has also further solidified the Giants’ stout secondary. Though, the Giants still have a few more holes to fill before the draft is over and (unless Gettleman decides to surprise us by drafting down again).

Here are the three remaining picks the NY Giants currently have going into Day 3:

1) Round 4, Pick 116

Going into Day 2 of the NFL Draft, the NY Giants were expected to select a guard with either their second or third-round pick, as their current options, Shane Lemieux and Will Hernandez, are major question marks going into the 2021 season.

However, this was not the case and now, it can be assumed that the Giants are going to grab an offensive lineman with the 116th pick. There is plenty of talent still left on the board: David Moore, Deonte Brown, and Trey Smith are all solid draft prospects with the potential to elevate the offensive line.

2) Round 6, Pick 196

Since the NY Giants traded the fifth-round pick they received from the Chicago Bears to move up in the third round and draft Aaron Robinson, their next pick will come in the sixth round. Normally, the sixth and seventh rounds are given less fanfare because it can be assumed that all of the noteworthy draft prospects have already been taken. However, last year, the Giants received a significant amount of production from the rookies they had taken in the later rounds – Cam Brown, Carter Coughlin, and Tae Crowder all made an impact on the field last year.

There’s a high possibility that Gettleman makes a depth selection with this pick that ends up becoming a key contributor for the Giants in the 2021 season.

3) Round 6, Pick 201

Just five selections after their previous pick, the Giants will be on the board again with the 201st pick. This is the draft capital that the Giants received from the Arizona Cardinals in the Markus Golden trade from last year. Since Gettleman has shown in Day 2 that he isn’t afraid of trading up for prospects he really values, it wouldn’t be surprising if he used this pick to move up and grab a fourth or fifth-round player that he believes in.
