The Offensive Line

One position group that many expected the Giants to address in the draft was the offensive line – shockingly, they decided against it. While it may be the one gripe fans have with an otherwise very good draft, players like Shane Lemieux, Will Hernandez, Matt Peart and Zack Fulton should be celebrating.

If the team opted to draft Rashawn Slater, Alijah Vera-Tucker or a mid round prospect, it could’ve meant the end of their time in New York. Instead, they’ll battle each other for a chance to protect Jones – all while being taught by new offensive line coach, Rob Sale.

After the draft, Gettleman reaffirmed his belief in his current line – stating “It’s become apparent that the Giants have more confidence in their younger offensive line than we do.”

Time will tell if that confidence is merited, but they’ll get the shot to prove him correct – at least for now.
