There may be no person in the team’s building who improved their standing amongst fans and analysts alike over this draft than the Giants’ general manager.

A forward thinking draft, full of maneuvering the trade market to acquire picks was stuff that the best general managers in the league do. Gettleman has been far from that in his tenure, but if the wins start coming – so will the credit.

He was unafraid to do what’s best for the team – even with some thinking it’s his make or break season. The Giants’ draft should be lauded – something Gettleman’s detractors never expected to say.
