Week 9: vs. Los Angeles Rams – 4 p.m.

The Rams are all in on trying to win a Super Bowl as quickly as possible with Matthew Stafford at quarterback, but it is Los Angeles’ defense that could prove to be this team’s backbone, led by All-Pro nose tackle Aaron Donald. Keeping Jones upright will be paramount.

Week 10: at Dallas Cowboys – Monday Night Football

Always one of the highest-rated prime time games of the season, with plenty of interest from two of the NFL’s largest media media markets, the first meeting between the rival NY Giants and Cowboys could carry even more consequence this late in the season. By now, Dak Prescott will likely be hitting his stride, recovering from a brutal ankle injury suffered against the NY Giants last season, and we’ll have a firm idea of what these two teams are.

Week 11: BYE

The NY Giants will likely not be pleased to get a bye this late in the season, but to avoid playing a short week and having a week to rest up before a six-week sprint to the finish might not be the worst outcome.

 Week 12: vs. Denver Broncos – 1 p.m.

Pat Shurmur returns to MetLife Stadium for the first time, since being fired by the NY Giants following his second season as head coach, in Jan., 2020. Might Shurmur, now the Broncos’ offensive coordinator be bringing reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers along as his quarterback?

Week 13: at Los Angeles Chargers – Sunday Night Football

Justin Herbert is one of the brightest young stars at quarterback, in the city of Los Angeles, and the NY Giants are banking on Daniel Jones reaching that level in his third season in 2021. Two major markets, two potential playoff teams, and two young and marketable quarterbacks … Yeah, it wouldn’t be surprising at all if this game is in prime time.
