NY Giants vs. Kansas City Chiefs: Patrick Graham’s defense vs. Patrick Mahomes

For the first time in his career, the great Patrick Mahomes will face off against the NY Giants.

Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs have been the class of the NFL over the last couple seasons – either winning the Super Bowl or having been defeated by the eventual Super Bowl champions. Finally, the Giants will get to see how they measure up against the league’s finest.

The Giants’ defensive coordinator, Patrick Graham, is more than up for the challenge. Graham’s defense stifled the finest offensive minds in the league last season – taking Tom Brady’s Buccaneers to the brink, shutting down Sean McVay’s Rams and demoralizing Russell Wilson’s Seahawks for one of the biggest upsets of the entire season.

The chess match between Graham’s defense and the Chiefs’ offense will be must-see television. If he can figure out a way to make Mahomes look like he did Wilson last year, the Giants’ defensive coordinator will be the hottest coaching candidate on the market.

If the Giants can hang with a perennial contender like the Chiefs, the rest of the league will be on notice. There’s no bigger benchmark game on the schedule – as long as Graham is calling the plays, you can’t count them out.

To be the best, you have to beat the best – the Giants’ have a chance to truly turn their tides in Arrowhead Stadium.
