The NY Giants defense must make Drew Lock feel Rattled and Overwhelmed

Just like Jones, the Broncos quarterback faces a make-or-break season … If he’s ever the quarterback in September.

In fact, Drew Lock may already be done in Denver.

Denver traded for Teddy Bridgewater and there have been endless rumors about a Denver-Aaron Rodgers pairing. He may be in an open competition for his job come August.

For now, we’ll assume Lock still starts come Week 1. If he does, NY Giants defensive coordinator Patrick Graham must be licking his chops to attack the Denver offense right away. Drew Lock isn’t a QB that will scare any defense nor has he shown much ability through two seasons.

The Broncos should field a solid offensive line in 2021. It’s up to the Giants’ front seven to get home, create pressure, get some hits on Lock, and make sure Denver feels the intensity and physicality of the New York defense.

Lock isn’t much of a threat when he’s under constant duress and getting attacked constantly. The Broncos have some great weapons in Jerry Jeudy, Noah Fant, Courtland Sutton, and K.J. Hamler. The Giants must be aware of them at all times and get to Lock in the pocket as much as possible to avoid letting his guys make plays downfield.
