The NY Giants will face an easier group of quarterbacks in 2021 than they have in recent years.
The NY Giants face an interesting, dynamic group of opposing quarterbacks this season.
There is a blend of the savvy veterans, Super Bowl Champions, former NFL MVPs, some Rookies, and more young guys looking to establish themselves.
Overall, the Giants aren’t facing the most talented group of quarterbacks this year. The team must take advantage of its softer schedule and start the season with a fast start via early wins Weeks 1-4.
Here is a look at each QB the Giants face and our QB rankings for 2021.
#14. Sam Darnold, Carolina Panthers
Sam Darnold is facing a now-or-never situation in Carolina.
Matt Rhule took a swing for the fences and gave up on Teddy Bridgewater one year into a 3-year, $63 million deal. With that, he traded some strong draft capital for the Jets ex-QB, Sam Darnold.
Darnold has struggled mightily in all three of his NFL seasons. He’s missed at least three games each season, he hasn’t had under 11 interceptions in a season, and he’s never won more than 7 games in a season.
Darnold will return to MetLife both Week 1 vs the Jets and then come back to face the Giants in Week 7. With a much-improved offense and better coaching, there are zero excuses left for Darnold.
