#7. Derek Carr, Las Vegas Raiders

Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders enter a similar spot in 2021; coming off another playoff-less season.

Carr and the Raiders have been under fire much of the offseason. The Raiders have made some very questionable moves this spring, largely starting with their extreme (and widely unnecessary) purge of their 2020 offensive line.

Carr will return as the team’s QB for 2021. For years, trade rumors alike both sending Carr out of Vegas and the Raiders trading for a new QB hasn’t stopped.

Carr has tuned out the noise with three consecutive 4,000-yard seasons. He is a smart and sound quarterback who doesn’t make many mistakes. Carr’s only game against the Giants came back in 2017 when the Giants infamously benched Eli Manning for Geno Smith.

It was an awful, laughable decision. It was so badly perceived by the fanbase that John Mara cleaned the house the next day and fired the Head Coach and GM in Ben Mcadoo and Jerry Reese.

Carr is a good QB the Giants must account for and respect. With weapons in Darren Waller, Josh Jacobs, and Henry Ruggs, they have different elements of speed, size, and talent that cause headaches for opposing defenses.
