NY Giants 2022 RB option #3: Breece Hall, Iowa State

Breece Hall is cut from the same cloth as the previous two rushers, as he is all about hitting openings hard and going down if and only if the defense is feeling some damage as well. The Cyclones had their most successful season in program history largely on the strength of Hall’s legs.

In the regular season’s finest victory against Oklahoma, Hall collected 139 yards on 28 carries, showing the ability to absorb shot after shot but soldier on against a top 30 defense in Division I’s FBS. Ditto for his dominant rushing effort in ISU’s first New Year’s 6 bowl game win against Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl. Hall collected 136 yards, but similarly found the end zone twice to cap off the greatest season Ames has ever witnessed.

Hall is like Spiller: a potential direct replacement or someone that can take the starting job whenever Barkley can’t serve in that role any longer.
