NY Giants

Average 40-Yard-Dash Time: 4.4 Seconds

The NY Giants’ receivers corp are the fastest within the NFC East. A big reason for that is the recent signing of John Ross.

Ross is the fastest receiver in the division, clocking his 40 time at 4.22. The Giants two starters, Kenny Golladay and Sterling Shepard, seem like snails compared to Ross. But at 4.5 and 4.48, they represent about the division average.

The closest player to Ross would be Washington’s Curtis Samuel, who runs it in 4.31. He and starter Terry McLaurin, who runs it in 4.35, help the WFT have the second fastest NFC East receivers.

Washington’s cumulative average is 4.43. Their team average, however, does not count Cam Sims’ time, since he chose to not run it.

Third in the division are the Cowboys, which helps emphasize that the taller a team’s average, the slower the team is. Their average is 4.48. Their fastest receiver is starter Amari Cooper, who runs a 40 in 4.42, which would only be ruled the fastest on his team and the Eagles.

The Eagles are the slowest, clocking in an average 40 time of 4.49. This, though, is without the 40 times of Greg Ward (third on the depth charts) and Devonta Smith. Smith is rumored to be as fast or faster than Tyreek Hill, who clocks in at 4.29. But he chose not to run at the combine.
