Kelvin Benjamin, Tight End

Draft Spot: #28 Pick of the 2014 NFL Draft. Selected by Carolina Panthers

Arrival in New York: Joined the Giants after their 2021 Rookie Minicamp

Projected Role: TE4 or Camp Body

Kelvin Benjamin is one of the Giants’ newest additions to their roster.

A former Dave Gettleman draft choice, Benjamin will look to revitalize his NFL career in New York at a different position. Benjamin has moved to tight end where he will look to use his big size to beat the competition.

Benjamin hasn’t played since 2018 and will face a bevy of competition this offseason. If he convinces the coaching staff he’s worth a flier at tight end, he could beat out Levine Toilolo as TE4 if the Giants even choose to carry four tight ends.

It’s now or never for Benjamin. He is lucky to have even gotten an opportunity still in the NFL. It’s his last chance to prove himself and stick around. He could end up sneaking onto the roster or end up being a veteran on the practice squad.
