Jabrill Peppers, Safety

Draft Spot: #25 in 2017 NFL Draft. Selected by the Cleveland Browns

Arrival in New York: Arrived via trade with the Browns (Odell Beckham Jr. Trade)

Projected Role: Starting Safety

Jabrill Peppers enters his third season in the Northeast after being a Brown his first two NFL seasons.

Peppers joined New York during the infamous Odell Beckham Jr. trade in 2019. Peppers was seen as a dealbreaker in any trade scenario for Odell; Clearly, the Giants and Dave Gettleman value his game.

Peppers shined and had a career year in 2020. He commanded the back unit, roved the field in a moneyback role, and made plays all over the field week in and week out.

Peppers returns to his long-time home in the state of New jersey. The former Don Bosco product is entering the final year of his rookie contract. The Giants should look to extend and reward Peppers now and save money later for their starting safety.
