GMEN HQ:

Question #1: Reggie Ragland spent one season with Detroit in 2020. He played all 16 games while starting six. Does he have a realistic chance of starting on the Giants defense alongside Blake Martinez?

SideLion:

In short, yes. Ragland stepped up in the Lions defense to start those six games when needed due to injuries and some less than desired performances by other linebackers.

Detroit’s defense called for big playmaking linebackers and Ragland fit the bill. The changing of the guard in Motown is certainly to the benefit of the Giants in free agency.
