7. Dallas, Texas (October 10)

I’ve never spent any time in Dallas.

Then again, neither do the Cowboys. They play in Arlington and practice in Frisco.

That said, I’m still pretty confident in the ranking. There should be decent activities and entertainment, and plenty of good food – think barbecue, Mexican, or Tex-Mex. If you want to take a trip within the division in 2021 to see a rivalry game, it seems like Dallas in October is the clear winner. On the other hand, I’ve always had the impression that Dallas is just a sort of standard sprawling metropolis in Texas, and a lot less interesting than places like Austin, San Antonio, or Houston.

That said, perhaps you can take advantage of the warmer weather for some outdoor activities. Golf courses abound, if you’re looking to snag a tee time, and can afford the hefty price tag, the Dallas Cowboys Country Club is worth every penny.

If you’re a history buff, there’s the George W. Bush Presidential Library and the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, devoted to life and death of President John F. Kennedy.
