Game #2: NY Giants vs Philadelphia Eagles, NFC Divisional Round, 2001

In our second game here, we focus on Jim Fassel’s first playoff win as an NFL head coach.

Fassel’s NY Giants took on Andy Reid’s Eagles at Giants Stadium for a much-anticipated playoff contest to move onto the NFC Championship game. The Giants faithful was rowdy in the stands as Ron Dixon returned the opening kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown. It was the first and only opening kickoff return touchdown in Giants’ playoff history.

From there, Jason Sehorn’s incredible interception was capped off with a return to the end zone for a touchdown as the Giants won 20-10.
