NY Giants quarterback Daniel Jones connected with Kenny Golladay on what is easily the catch of the spring
We’ve seen our fair share of highlights out of East Rutherford over the last couple days – Kadarius Toney living up to his joystick nickname, Azeez Ojulari showing off his speed and Kenny Golladay playing catch with Daniel Jones for the first time in NY Giants’ blue.
The best of the best came today – when Golladay made an eye-popping, one-handed snag on a ball thrown by Jones.
Immediately, the video brought fans back to the days of Odell Beckham Jr. making highlight reel catches in blue. While the team didn’t do much winning in Beckham’s years, his catches were stuff of legends – earlier this week, his famous grab against the Dallas Cowboys was named the number one play of the decade for the NFL on NBC.
Dave Gettleman made it his mission this off-season to get Jones a play-maker – like the one he traded away in Beckham. It may just be one highlight, but that – combined with the chemistry the two are building, bode well for their potential.
While you certainly don’t have to be friends to be a dynamic duo in the league, Golladay and Jones are building a relationship on and off the field. “That’s my boy,” said Golladay, while speaking about his quarterback.
It’s going to be fun to see the two take the league by storm as one of the brightest quarterback-wide receiver duo’s in the NFL.
