The NY Giants rookies have plenty of talent heading into the 2021 NFL season, some might even be immediate impact players Week 1

The NY Giants will count on each rookie from their 2021 Draft class with different roles and expectations.

The Giants made six selections in five different rounds this spring. New York wisely maneuvered the draft board and gained some much-needed draft capital for next season. The NY Giants are now positioned to have two picks in rounds one, two, and four next season.

All six players will need strong showings in training camp to boost their stock and prove themselves worthy and capable of starting in the NFL. Watching the rookies compete against seasoned, grizzled NFL veterans is always something interesting to follow this summer.

Here is a look at the chances of each NY Giants’ rookie starting in Week 1.

1st Round Pick: Kadarius Toney, Wide Receiver, UF

Chances of Starting Week 1: 33%

Kadarius Toney will immediately be one of the more exciting things to look forward to with the 2021 New York Giants.

The receiver from Florida will likely start his NFL career off coming off the bench as he gives ways to more experienced players both in the NFL along with Jason Garrett and the Giants’ offensive system.

Sterling Shepard and Kenny Golladay are likely entrenched at the top of the wide receiver chart come week one. Toney hasn’t had the most ideal rookie offseason yet, but very little (if any) live-action has actually occurred. All of this is irrelevant if Toney shows off his undeniable speed, burst, and agility.

For now, Toney will begin his NFL career learning from three dynamic receivers. He will likely be deployed in specific moments and situations that will implement using his strengths to his advantage.
