3rd Round Pick: Aaron Robinson, Cornerback, UCF

Chances of Starting Week 1: 20%

Aaron Robinson is going to have his work cut out for him in order to start so early in his NFL career.

Robinson will compete head-on with Darnay Holmes for what will likely be the starting slot/nickel cornerback job. The nickelback’s importance to NFL defenses has increased dramatically in recent years and it will be especially important in Pat Graham’s multiple and versatile attacking scheme.

Graham will need to put a lot of trust into his slot cornerback. Robinson may be that guy, but the Giants’ secondary is chock full of talent and options to run the slot. Between Holmes and the Giants safety options in Logan Ryan, Xavier McKinney, and Julian Lov, Aaron Robinson will likely learn from the sidelines to start his career.
