NY Giants roster: 3 deepest positions entering 2021 NFL season
1) Wide receiver
The NY Giants knew they had a problem this offseason, and invested significant resources in fixing it.
After watching quarterback Daniel Jones toss 35 touchdowns to 22 interceptions through his first two seasons as a starter, the NY Giants set out to dramatically bolster the talent around him at the skill positions on offense.
Darius Slayton, on most teams, would be an outstanding No. 3 or even No. 4 wide receiver, but as last season showed, he is a mediocre top option.
Getting Sterling Shepard back and healthy, after he missed four games due to turf toe last season, will give Jones a boost.
But, the biggest offseason additions of all, and arguably the most impactful additions the NY Giants have made since drafting Jones No. 6 overall in 2019; Kenny Golladay and rookie Kadarius Toney, have the chance to not only help Jones make great strides in his development, but form one of the NFL’s top-10 receiving corps.
