Other Tight Ends competing in Training Camp:

Cole Hikutini

Hikutini has bounced around four teams in four years to start his NFL career. Only seeing the field in 2017, Hikutini is here to create some footage for future opportunities.

Rysen John

John is a Canadian-born and Canadian-raised football player. Undrafted in the NFL, John went in the 3rd round of the CFL Draft.  John’s best hope is finding a way onto the practice squad or going back to the CFL.

Nakia Griffin-Stewart

Griffin-Stewart was an undrafted tight end out of Pitt in 2019. Expect him to hang around for August and move on once final cuts come around.

Kelvin Benjamin

Benjamin is the true wild card of the Giants’ tight ends room.

Benjamin has split snaps at both tight end and receiver this Spring since being signed after his rookie minicamp tryout. Benjamin has the size and speed to play tight end. The question is whether he can successfully transition from a big-bodied receiver, keep his weight in check, and become a full-time tight end. All of this remains to be seen, as Benjamin looks to find an NFL team for the first time since 2018. Dave Gettleman took Benjamin in the 1st round of the 2014 Draft. It’s likely the last chance for the once-talented player who helped take Carolina to a Super Bowl in 2015.
