9. Emlen Tunnell (1948)

Tunnell was the first African-American signed by, and the first to play for, the Giants. As a rookie, he appeared in 10 games and intercepted seven passes, including one returned 43 yards for a touchdown.

8. Landon Collins (2015)

Collins was named the starting free safety to begin his rookie year. He was switched from his natural strong safety position since he was better suited to play free safety. He finished his rookie named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team
