1) DB – Xavier McKinney

McKinney was viewed as one of the steals of the entire 2020 NFL Draft class, when the NY Giants chose him in Round 2, but a foot injury decimated much of his rookie campaign.

But, once McKinney got on the field, he showed tantalizing flashes of his potential and a glimpse into what his expanded role in an improved NY Giants’ secondary could be in 2021.

There’s a chance that McKinney contributes both as a third safety, and a slot cornerback, especially after producing  25 total tackles, including one tackle for loss, with one pass breakups and one interception in four games.

An expanded role, and arriving fully healthy this season could set the stage for McKinney to be the NY Giants’ breakout star for the 2021 campaign.
