OLB – Lorenzo Carter

103 total tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks

This could be now or never time for Lorenzo Carter.

Chosen in the third-round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Carter’s athleticism has been evident since his arrival in East Rutherford, but his tantalizing glimpses of dominance have been few and far between.

Unfortunately for Carter and the NY Giants, the University of Georgia alum had one of his strongest training camps as a professional and appeared primed for a breakout 2020 campaign, prior to rupturing his Achilles tendon in Week 5 against the Dallas Cowboys.

The expectation entering this season is for Carter to reclaim his place in the NY Giants’ starting lineup, and atop Graham’s pass-rush rotation.

If Carter can put all of the pieces together — and he made the first significant step by getting back on the field in time for OTAs this spring — the NY Giants pass-rush has the potential to level up significantly in 2021.
