Lorenzo Carter

Last summer, Lorenzo Carter looked so good that he was compared to Lawrence Taylor.

Now some of it may have been sarcasm, but Carter looked phenomenal throughout last year’s training camp. Unfortunately, an Achilles injury ended his season in just Week 5.

NY Giants head coach Joe Judge saw the untapped potential in Carter, calling him an ‘integral part of this team’ when he went down. Carter ended up missing the meteoric rise of Graham’s defense – ending his season with just one sack.

Just as everything was starting to click for Carter, everything was taken away. Now, after attacking his rehab the same way he’s attacked quarterbacks – he’s ready to return better than ever.

He set himself apart last season, and he’ll look to recreate the hype and then some this coming season. Even with the addition Azeez Ojulari, Carter may still be far and away the Giants’ best edge rusher.

He’s no Lawrence Taylor, nobody is – but Lorenzo Carter will make a name for himself in 2021.
