2) Mike Glennon

Glennon is the kind of savvy veteran the NY Giants hope can step in and be productive, in the event that Jones goes down with an injury.

After spending last season with the Jaguars, Glennon, 31, lands as Jones’ primary backup for the 2021 season. Making five starts in Jacksonville, Glennon completed 62 percent of his passes during the 2020 season for 1,072 yards with seven touchdowns to five interceptions. However, the Jaguars went 0-6 in those contests.

New York is clearly hoping for better results, and believes that he can be a better fit than McCoy was on some of the deeper passes that line offensive coordinator Jason Garrett’s playbook.

Garrett’s offense thrives on designed runs, but Glennon only made four of those for the Jaguars last season, so it will be interesting to see how the scheme evolves if/when he is forced into action.
