GMEN HQ:
Question #3: There has been a lot of talk around Rudolph’s balance as both a receiving and blocking tight end. How will he help the Giants in their run game/pass protection? How do you see him fitting in with Evan Engram and catching passes in the flats and up the seams?
Viking Age:
Rudolph will definitely be a great addition to the Giants’ rushing attack. His blocking has improved during the last few years and he was a part of the offense that helped Dalvin Cook rush for over 1,000 yards in each of the last two seasons.
Other than inside of the red zone, I wouldn’t expect him to be much of a threat in the passing game. He’s pretty slow and he’s not a guy who breaks a ton of tackles with the ball in his hands. Engram shouldn’t have to worry about Rudolph taking away much of his targets next season.
