GMEN HQ:

Question #2: Ifeadi Odenigbo lined up around the Vikings defense at outside linebacker, EDGE rusher, defensive end, and defensive tackle. What is his best and most natural position on defense?

Viking Age:

He actually started out his tenure with Minnesota as a defensive tackle. But that didn’t turn out the way the Vikings had hoped and he slid over to defensive end later on in his career. The move turned out to be a great one as he was much more productive when he lined up as a defensive end.

With the Giants, I could see him being productive as a pass-rushing outside linebacker (think Clay Matthew or DeMarcus Ware). He can still create havoc when he lines up on the inside of the defensive line. But if New York wants to get the most out of him, they should have him line up on the edge as either a defensive end or an outside linebacker.

A huge thank you is in order for Adam for his time and awesome answers. The Giants will benefit from both veterans in Rudolph and Odenigbo with their solid play and experience.
