8) Kerry Collins

Years: 1999-2003

Legacy: Led Giants to Super Bowl XXXV

After becoming the first draft selection in Carolina Panthers history, Kerry Collins left for New York ahead of the 1999 season. After taking the starting job over from Kent Graham halfway through his first season in Giants’ blue, Collins would be the team’s starting quarterback for the better part of four years.

In his first full season as the team’s starter, he led them to Super Bowl XXXV. Although they couldn’t close the deal, Collins’ team was the class of the NFC in 2000.

He piled up huge numbers as the team’s signal caller – passing for 16, 875 yards and 81 touchdowns. He would go on to play eight more seasons after moving on from New York – but his star never shined quite as bright.
