Michael Strahan’s career with the NY Giants made him much more than a team legend. The former second round pick became a Hall of Famer – he rose above just simply being an athlete, becoming one of the most recognizable television personalities in the world.
Strahan broke out in 1997 after a few lackluster years – shattering his former career high while posting 14.0 sacks. His best season would come in 2001, when he posted an NFL record 22.5 sacks – a record that still stands 20 years later.
His The one thing missing from his resume was a Super Bowl victory – and he stomped his way to that accomplishment in his last NFL game. He ended his career with a total of 141.5 career sacks – good for fifth all-time at the time of his retirement.
Strahan isn’t just the greatest Giants’ defensive lineman of all-time – he’s one of the greats in league history.
