5) Carl Banks

Years: 1984-1992

Legacy: Two-time Super Bowl Champion (XXI, XXV)

Today, Carl Banks is focused on delivering top-notch analysis for the NY Giants – but back in the day, he was one of the integral parts of the team’s success.

The third overall selection in the 1984 NFL Draft, Banks gave the Giants another weapon to deploy in their stellar defense. He helped ease the losses of Kelley and Van Pelt – becoming a key cog in a championship unit.

His performance in Super Bowl XXI was stuff of legends – recording 14 tackles and 10 solo tackles to help lead the Giants to victory against John Elway’s Denver Broncos.
