2. Geno Atkins

Although Atkins is older and had a recent shoulder injury, he can provide some value from the trenches and can get to the quarterback from the inside. The Giants can offer him a short-term contract.

Atkins, 33, might be willing to take the veteran minimum to get on the field this season. During the 2019 campaign, his most recent fully-healthy season, Atkins produced 47 tackles and 4.5 sacks. Proving he’s healthy and motivated might be a hurdle, but that is the kind of production the NY Giants could use from a depth-player.

The NY Giants lost Dalvin Tomlinson via free agency, and even after re-signing Austin Johnson and adding Danny Shelton, Atkins could push for starter-caliber snaps as part of line coach Sean Spencer’s rotation up front.

3. David DeCastro

Even though retirement is looking like the outcome for DeCastro due to his injuries, the NY Giants signing him would not be a bad idea.

New York didn’t make any additions to the OL this off-season since the team believes in the young guys, but adding a veteran like DeCastro would be a huge help. He is a six-time Pro Bowler.
