Darnay Holmes put together a solid rookie season for the NY Giants in 2020 after being selected by the team in the fourth round of the draft.
The former UCLA Bruin led all rookie defensive backs in targets without surrendering a touchdown with 52, per Pro Football Focus, an impressive and intriguing note.

Holmes appeared in 12 games during his rookie campaign and took 452 defensive snaps, with 390 coming from the slot, according to Patricia Traina of Giants Country. The big question surrounding Holmes heading into year two will be how much he will share nickel duties with players like Aaron Robinson and Xavier McKinney.
Despite the influx of talent and the development of players already on the team, Holmes may still see the most time in the slot in 2021 due to the experience he already has in it.
A desire for continuity may be something that could benefit Holmes in terms of the number of snaps he receives, but he must continue to work hard, considering the quality talent nipping at his heels.
