NY Giants player #2 who could tumble down depth chart: Corey Clement

It’s unclear what level of health Saquon Barkley will be at when the 2021 season tips off this September, but he isn’t yet committed to being at 100% for the team’s season opener.

So, the Giants are likely proceeding with caution, unlikely to overwork their former No. 2 pick in 2018. That said, there are only so many touches to go around, and the team’s addition of Devontae Booker indicates that it will be tough for fellow free agent addition Corey Clement to make an impact.

Rookie Gary Brightwell could surpass him, while former Giant Wayne Gallman could be an option if NY wants to trust a familiar face.

NY Giants player #3 that could tumble down depth chart: Kelvin Benjamin

Kelvin Benjamin’s bid to be a tight end on the NY Giants is not one without flaws, with the main one being the lack of burst that has him no longer capable of being a wide receiver at the pro level.

Benjamin is a physical receiver, but if Evan Engram could start making big plays on the field and Kevin Rudolph could prove he still has something left in the tank, it’s going to be hard to find a reason to justify continuing this comeback story.
