Daniel Jones:  RD 11, QB 15 overall

No matter your affinity for Daniel Jones (you know who you are), you are not drafting him to be your QB1 in Fantasy Football to start the season.

That being said, there are enough “experts”  predicting a “Josh Allen like”  year three leap for our boy in Blue that make drafting him something you want to ponder considering his price, dual threat ability and the upgraded weapons surrounding him on the Giants offense this season.

Jones vaulting into the weekly QB1 debate as a top 10-12 play is a Big Blue Dream for Giants fans.  It would mean Jones has been consistent throwing the rock to his new weapons, a threat with his legs on the field and has cured his pesky turnover issue (in 21 career games DJ has 31 total turnovers).

20 piece nugget per Dan Benton of Pro Football Focus:

"“One such prop bet comes via the over/under for passing yards. The line for Jones is currently set at 3,800.5, which Pro Football Focus, using their data and projections, says he will go way over. They also believe that should be considered one of the NFL’s “best bets” at quarterback. Based on the price adjusted line compared to the PFF projections, Jones has the third-largest differential in the entire league at plus-463.6 (4,264.1 yards passing). Only Tom Brady (plus-468.6) and Tua Tagovailoa (plus-491.6) have larger differentials”"

Daniel Jones, QB1?

Heart:  Dual Threat Danny goes HAM

There is no NY Giants fan on the planet that does not want Jones to succeed. The fan base is desperate for victories and there is no clearer path to relevance than for Daniel Jones to take the next step in his development.  If he does what many around the organization think he is capable of, Jones could be a savior to not only NY Giants fans, but to fantasy owners as well.

I’m targeting Jones as my QB 2 with upside in the late rounds of fantasy drafts.

From the Brain of Evan Silva:

“I thought that his season last year was pretty discouraging and it increased my skeptism level. He came out looking pretty good, I thought, for most of his rookie year.  But then he took a step back last season and now he’s in a make or break position. I do like what the Giants did around him from a weapons perspective, but the offensive line is still a big concern, he’s a quarterback that struggled when he was under pressure last year. I’d be willing to draft him in a two quarterback league. I think I have him around QB24 overall, but he is certainly not someone I am looking at to be a starter in a one quarterback league.”

Hot. Ranking the top Fantasy Football running backs, and where Saquon Barkley fits. light
