Round 2

2.13  Austin Ekeler (LAC RB)

2.14  Stefon DIggs (BUF WR)

2.15  Calvin Ridley (ATL WR)

2.16  Deandre Hopkins (ARZ WR)

2.17 Antonio Gibson (WFT RB)

2.18  Justin Jefferson (MIN WR)

2.19  Joe Mixon (CIN RB)

2.20  AJ Brown (TEN WR)

2.21  D’ Andre Swift (DET RB)

2.22  JK Dobbins (BALT RB)

2.23  Najee Harris (Pitt RB)

2.24  Keenan Allen (LAC WR)

The absence of Giovani Bernard will lead to more targets/catches for Mixon who was already receiving 80% of the touches in the Cincinnati backfield prior to Bernard’s exit.

Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is healthy and will return to an offense that added Burrow’s LSU BFF, playmaker Ja’Marr Chase, in the NFL Draft on to an already promising receiving tandem of Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins.

Throw it all together, and Mixon is a really interesting Round 2 target at the running back position.

Eyes on Joe Mixon: 2021 Fantasy Outlook via ESPN:

"“Mixon is entering his fifth NFL season after an injury-plagued 2020 campaign in which he was limited to six games. Mixon was busy those weeks, handling 81% of Cincinnati’s carries and 12% of the targets while sitting 10th among RBs in fantasy points per game. For perspective, he handled 75% of the carries and 8% of the targets in 16 games while finishing as RB13 in 2019. Mixon is only 24 years old and has now delivered solid RB2 numbers in three-consecutive seasons. An early-down feature back with a rising target share (especially with Giovani Bernard gone) and a healthy Joe Burrow under center, Mixon’s outlook is on the upswing. He’s a good RB2 target with RB1 upside.”"
