NY Giants Starting Tight End: Evan Engram

Analysis:

Evan Engram may be under the most scrutiny to succeed in the offense this year.

Engram is entering year five in New York as crazy as that might sound. He is now one of the longest-tenured Giants on the team. He is a leader of this franchise and his play on the field come gamedays needs to start showing the results. Engram is a hard worker and a good guy, he is well-liked and respected in the locker room.

It’s frustrating, however, to see such a talented and unique player struggle to consistently avoid mental mistakes and mess up routine plays that should never be messed up.

Engram made his first Pro Bowl last year despite some sloppy play. If he can reciprocate his honors and avoid all the turnovers and drops, Engram can be as dynamic and helpful as any tight end in football. It’s now or never for 88 in New York, look for him to improve this year.
