5 Reasons Azeez Ojulari will lead NY Giants in sacks

Reason #2: Azeez Ojulari is Mr. Dependable
A degenerative knee issue is the most cited reason for Ojuarli falling out of the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Ojulari tore his ACL during his senior year of high school and then redshirted his freshman season at Georgia. After playing in two games as a redshirt freshman, Ojulari hasn’t missed a single game for the Bulldogs.
Limited medical information for teams during the pre-draft process due to COVID made Ojulari’s knee a bigger issue than it might’ve been. Ojulari, the only freshman to be named a captain during the Kirby Smart era, has proven to be as dependable as they come. He hasn’t missed a single game the last two seasons. He also has a tremendous football character.
His defensive coordinator had this to say about Ojulari after the draft.
"“I just think he’s a can’t miss, from the standpoint of I know how hard he’s gonna work wherever he goes when he gets there to earn his keep. What a pleasure he’ll be for whatever coaching staff he goes to. “I’ll say this. I don’t know who’s a better edge player than Azeez Ojulari in this draft. I spend all of my time looking at our players. Is he as good an edge player as I’ve ever seen? Yeah. He’s really talented.”"
The rookie will be relied on right away.
Ojulari has proven the last few years that he can stay on the field, unlike Lorenzo Carter and Oshane Ximines. His dependability is the second reason he’ll lead the team in sacks.
